With more than 20 years in the Interior Design industry, Garry Cohn’s colorful and sophisticated use of shapes and proportions truly stimulates the imagination. His work is bold and daring, setting innovative trends throughout the design industry. It has been described as the haute couture of the interior design world with an intelligent use of style, form and function. Garry’s natural talent and discerning eye for detail not only distinguishes him, but also his clients, from the competition. He owned a design company in New York City, worked as a design professor at Manhattan’s Fashion Institute of Technology and now owns an international design company based in Europe, appropriately named “Garry Cohn”, which specializes in retail, commercial, hospitality, leisure, residential, aviation interiors, display and exhibit design.

The Royal Insurance Building Hotel Concept

This extraordinary landmark building located in the heart of Liverpool , England is the site for this boutique hotel of glamour and luxury. The Royal Insurance Building has a listed exterior and interior constructed at the turn of the last century in a classical architectural style. Throughout the project the concept was to treat the building as an ornate jewelry box displaying its precious jewels inside. There was total respect for the building which was reflected in the approach to the design of interior. Always complementing and highlighting the grand architectural details the design merged modern and traditional furnishings and structures to create a space in side of a space. The result celebrates the glamour and style of yesterday and complements it with the sleek and modern designs of today.

The Faces of Design AWARDS 2010

We are happy to announce that Garry Cohn has been chosen as one of the 25 winners of the Faces of Design AWARDS 2010. This is a global design competition that recognizes designers with a high level of design talent and helps to raise their visibility worldwide.

This design competition is based on your existing portfolio, and culminates in the publication of a printed volume, showcasing the most promising design talents, by design discipline. This collection of profiles will be distributed to over 1000 key decision makers at more than 300 companies, including firms such as vitra, IKEA, the Richemont Group (including prestigious brands such as Montblanc, Cartier and Chloé), designers’ studios such as the Campanas’ and Bouroullecs’, and the design press.
